Birthdays at the Garden
The San Antonio Botanical Garden’s birthday party package allows you and your guests to celebrate your child’s special day, Garden style. Your party package gives you and your guests access to the Botanical Garden during and after the party, until closing. Birthday party packages are designed for children ages 12 and under.
The new 2.5-acre Family Adventure Garden provides the perfect setting for hands-on, creative play and a one-of-a-kind birthday adventure. The Prickly Pear Pavilion transforms into party central while guests explore on their own, run, tumble, wade, and discover the unlimited, fun possibilities of nature play.

Indoor
H-E-B Discovery Classrooms
Large indoor room with AC/Heat. Classroom includes Patio for extra activities.
Outdoor
Prickly Pear Pavilion
In the heart of the new Family Adventure Garden, use this as home base while your guests explore all the fun outdoor playscapes.
*No guarantee of an indoor location should inclement weather arise. The Botanical Garden reserves the right to change the location between these four sites.

Birthday Party Guidelines
- Reservations can be made at least two weeks in advance, up to four (4) months ahead.
- Prickly Pear Pavilion (Outdoor) - $440 (non-members) / $396 (members) Tables and chairs provided.
- H-E-B Discovery Classroom & Patio (Indoor) - $650 (non-members) / $565 (members) Tables and chairs provided.
- Saturdays or Sundays from 10 AM to 12 PM or 1 PM to 3 PM. (with 30 minutes before for set up and 30 minutes after for cleanup).
- Secure space with a refundable security deposit of $150.00 and half of the rental fee, pay the balance 21 days before. If the party is booked three (3) weeks prior to the event, the amount to be paid in full. The refundable security deposit will be refunded back to the client within 30 days of the event.
- Guest may bring their own food, cake and non-alcoholic beverages. (No glass is allowed)
- Every party package includes a dedicated party hostess to assist with the event.

Cancellation Policy
- If the event is cancelled within 21 days before the event, the initial rental fee will be refunded but not the security deposit. If the event is cancelled less than 21 days, no refunds will be provided. A 72-hour notice is required for any schedule changes.
