MARCH 8 - OCTOBER 27, 2025

In celebration of our 45th anniversary, our intent with Reflections of Nature (March through October) is to uplift mural art as it relates to themes of nature and its intersection with humankind. The purpose of this exhibition is to create and present an entirely original mural display of the highest caliber at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, honoring our region’s rich mural art history with themes of nature, plants, animals, and the vibrant diversity of the people of our region. We want our community to see themselves and their region in these murals while they explore nature throughout the Garden, providing a unique experience compared to conventional indoor museums. Visitors will walk the Garden and view art inspired by nature with the beauty of nature all around them

Curated in collaboration with Bridge Projects.

The images shown are mockups and references that represent the artists’ envisioned murals. These concepts provide a glimpse of the creative direction and inspiration behind each piece. Final murals may vary as the artists bring their unique styles to life on-site.

There will be 12 large-scale murals installed across our 38 acres, their impact elevated by the addition of curated plant collections selected specifically for each mural. Determined to present the works of the most respected and talented regional muralists, we commissioned the accomplished Bridge Projects team to manage the exhibition.

The diversity of identity, cultures, and experiences is embraced by Reflections of Nature, giving these artists the unique opportunity to share their stories in murals set in a venue that none of the 12 have ever experienced before. The mediums for the murals promise to be as diverse as the artists themselves.
