Access and Inclusion

To align with our mission of enriching lives through plants and nature, the Garden has committed to increasing community access to our spaces through the new Nature Navigator: Growing Community launching in the Spring of 2024. This program aims to welcome visitors from across the city of San Antonio by removing distance and transportation as one of the most common barriers of inclusion.  

The Nature Navigator: Growing Community prioritizes serving community partner groups in Bexar County and surrounding counties. This program not only offers free transportation to visitors from all communities, but also invites program participants to engage in a garden educational program with the options of:

• Garden Art Program

• Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs and mobility devices are encouraged in the Garden for those who need them. A limited number of wheelchairs is available at the Guest Services Kiosk at a first come, first served basis.
