OPENING MAY 4, 2024 - RUNS THROUGH NOVEMBER 3

Experience the world-premiere of Huntopia, the first-ever garden exhibition from famed artist, Hunt Slonem.  Arriving at the San Antonio Botanical Garden in May 2024, families and friends will step into a whimsical world filled with the iconic colorful bunnies, birds, and butterflies the artist has been painting for decades.

Huntopia will showcase a series of monumental pieces and curated installations, combining Slonem’s vibrant artworks and the Garden’s natural beauty. The large-scale art sculptures are a joyful, glittering array of show-stopping pieces created with various mediums, including works featuring tens of thousands of hand-cut, hand-applied pieces of glass. The artist’s signature animal muses will be giant-sized for plenty of photo-worthy moments of sculptural play throughout the Garden’s 38 acres.

“Botanical gardens fascinate me. Nature is just embedded in my soul. I’m thrilled to have the blank slate of a garden to mix my art in with. It’s a project that I’ve wanted to do forever. This is the first time I’ve been able to produce work to fulfill the dream.”

Alongside the incredible installations, the Garden will host a series of Huntopia-inspired events and programs for the community.

Huntopia will take visitors on a memorable journey that evokes Slonem’s reverence for nature
