This May the San Antonio Botanical Garden will be the site for the world premiere of the breathtaking exhibition, Frida Kahlo Oasis. Developed in partnership with the Frida Kahlo Foundation, this incomparable exhibition celebrates Frida Kahlo’s deep connection with plants and the natural world.
Frida Kahlo Oasis will showcase a stylized reproduction of Casa Azul, the iconic blue family home and lush garden sanctuary that deeply influenced Kahlo’s timeless art; monumental sculptures of the fauna prominent in her works; and a collection of larger-than-life Frida inspired figures produced by prominent Mexican artists. The Botanical Garden’s reimagined Casa Azul and garden will invoke the spirit of this celebrated artist and her art, inviting visitors to explore an inspiration of her beloved garden, and immerse themselves in a unique environment of colors, smells, sounds, and visuals.
The Botanical Garden invites you be part of the Frida Kahlo Oasis Host Committee and be among the first individuals to experience this incredible installation at the VIP Opening Reception on May 6, 2021 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. Your support of Frida Kahlo Oasis comes with the exclusive benefits outlined below.
