Homeschool Day: Plants in History

Wednesday, November 17 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Come grow with us! School aged children will explore the fascinating world of plants in history with hands-on learning activities at the Botanical Garden’s Student Homeschool Day. During this program, discover the various ways our ancestors used plants. During this program, discover various ways our ancestors used plants. Participants will get to experience hands on activities including painting with plant-based dyes, weaving with plants, lavender sachets, and corn husk dolls. Thirty-minute guided tours will feature some historical Texas landmarks and plants that were used in the past. Activity stations available from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Homeschool and virtual learners are welcome. Designed for students ages 6-12. Contact jwolanski@sabot.org with questions.
Fee: $10 student; $11 chaperone.
