Seasonal Guest Experience Associate
The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for making an exceptional first and last impression on the guests, and provides excellent customer service in a professional, friendly, and positive manner. Guest Experience Associates assist with general admission and gift shop operations, including the selling of memberships and providing general information and supplies such as maps/informational brochures to guests. This position reports to the Guest Experience and Gift Shop Manager.
Seasonal Guest Experience Team Lead
The Guest Experience Team Lead supports the day-to-day operations of the Garden Gift Shop and admissions kiosk. The Guest Experience Team Lead actively engages guests to enhance their experience through outstanding customer service. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Guest Experience and works closely with the Guest Experience Assistant Manager.
Director of Horticulture
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Gardens, the Directors of Horticulture serve as leaders among the horticulture staff instilling best horticultural practices among area garden staff. Within the Horticulture Department at SABG, management of all public garden areas is divided between two Directors of Horticulture.
Guest Experience Associate
The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for making an exceptional first and last impression on the guests, and provides excellent customer service in a professional, friendly, and positive manner. Guest Experience Associates assist with general admission and gift shop operations, including the selling of memberships and providing general information and supplies such as maps/informational brochures to guests. This position reports to the Guest Experience and Gift Shop Manager.
Education Assistant
The Education Assistant will offer educational programs and experiences that communicate the importance of plants and nature. This person will work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to facilitate current programming and develop interpretation materials. Duties include, but are not limited to interacting with guests, assisting with youth and family programs, facilitating drop-in activity stations for program events, gathering, and preparing materials for programs, and supporting related educational programs.
Custodian
This position will require communication and teamwork, in addition to independent work in an assigned area. We are a unique venue for all types of events from small meetings to large galas. This position will be responsible to provide support necessary for event preparation and implementation. This position is expected to work approximately 25 hours per week, and schedule will revolve around weekends primarily.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers must commit to 24 hours annually. Volunteers must attend volunteer orientation and any additional training needed for each program. Volunteer orientation is online. The cost of joining the volunteer program is a one-time fee of $30 background check. If this is cost prohibitive, please reach out to cblumenberg@sabot.org. Volunteers are required to be over 18.
